From the moment your catamaran arrives onto the impossibly perfect beach at the heart of Rosewood Little Dix Bay everything in life seems better. Actually a relatively large resort with 100 rooms and lots of communal spaces, the buildings are engulfed by the stunning greenery that dominates most of the island; little sanctuaries decorated in cream, neutral colours and hand-crafted teak wood that perfectly complement the Caribbean landscape. Away from your room you can expect unfaltering service, delicious dining, and a list of facilities as long as your arm which includes a sumptuous sea-view spa, a fitness centre with qualified trainers on hand, tennis courts, watersports and children's clubs.
ACCOMMODATION
The rooms, suites and villas at Virgin Gorda are tastefully decorated with splashes of Caribbean colour and luxurious Italian Linens. All have outdoor spaces with views down to the sea. There are eight categories, ranging from Ocean View Rooms to large beach villas with three or four bedrooms. The characterful hexagonal Ocean Cottages and Beachfront Cottages are grouped in twos and fours meaning lots of interconnecting options for families. One-bedroom suites lie just steps from the beach and have floor to ceiling windows; while the beautiful Tree House Suites are contemporary interpretations of the original Tree House Suites built by Laurance Rockerfeller. Light and airy, they seem to float amongst the verdant greenery. Beach Houses and Villas offer more privacy and extensive space, with kitchens, living rooms, terraces with pools and luxuries such as multi-media systems.
FOR FAMILIES
Rose Buds caters for children over the age of three with a regularly changing programme of activities including nature walks, shell collecting, music, arts and crafts, and various games. There is also tennis coaching and sailing available to older children, and Little Dix offers flexible accommodation and dining options that make travelling with a family easy. The Children's Grove is a hive of activity, with a miniature chattel house hosting parties and events. Teenagers are also well-served by an interesting programme of activities and a teen's room with games open until midnight.
FOR WEDDINGS & HONEYMOONS
The beautiful beach at the resort is a favourite for weddings, as is the lush and verdant Bougainvillea Point. Rosewood Little Dix Bay has an experienced wedding coordinator who will be delighted to assist with your wedding plans including everything from decoration to dining. There are three 'wedding programmes', and the resort can organise lots of memorable experiences for those having their wedding or honeymoon at Little Dix.
