Situated in the wilderness of the Okonjima Nature Reserve, home to the AfriCat Foundation, on undulating plains scattered with acacia trees and between the Omboroko mountains, is Okonjima Luxury Bush Camp featuring deluxe chalets offering great opportunities for spotting the elusive leopard which thrives in this landscape.
There are eight thatched, private chalets, approximately one hundred metres away from each other, designed with large glass panels and canvas windows to optimise having unrestricted views of the savannah. They include two queen sized beds, an open-air sitting room, which provides the perfect spot to relax and absorb the panoramic views and a bird bath and feeder, for observing the 250 different bird species, a highlight for bird lovers.
There is also a Junior Suite with magnificent views over the Namibian landscape, which can be absorbed whilst enjoying an outdoor shower, or from the comfort of the en-suite sitting room, complete with fireplace.
The main area, covered with a camelthorn pod-shaped lapa, overlooks the waterhole and has cosy inside and outside fireplaces.
