Set on the beautiful Blackfoot River and surrounded by magnificent mountains and forests, this is a large slice of Wild West joy - shared only with a glut of wildlife, including the resident elk and deer - and a handful of fellow guests. Extreme seasons sees dramatic landscape transformations, from a snow-covered winter wonderland during the winter months, to a vast, rugged and wild open-space - under seemingly never-ending blue skies - in the summer.
As a working cattle ranch, riding is very much at the core of Paws Up's daily life. There is something for everyone, from novices to experts: Cattle drives to hone those ‘rope throwing' techniques, private tuition in horsemanship skills, and over 100 miles of riding trails. A plethora of additional land-based, water-based and snow-based activities on offer means you can partake in as much of the action as you like. The majority of activities are not included in the price, enabling you to completely mould your holiday to your liking.
Choose to stay in a log cabin, ranch house or wilderness estate home (sleeping between 4 and 8). All well designed with high ceilings, lots of local wood, stone fireplaces, huge beds and many with hot tubs and huge decks running the length of the house. Or for the more adventurous, book one of the extremely comfortable tents (sleeping 2-4), packed with rustic charm and offering North American safari-style ‘glamping'.
