Her Majesty The Queen has approved the Prime Minister’s recommendation that Red Savannah should receive a Queen’s Award for Enterprise. This represents the United Kingdom’s highest business accolade and on Red Savannah’s case, the award recognises outstanding achievement in the development of international trade.
The award, which is valid for five years, was officially presented by the Lord Lieutenant for Gloucestershire, Mr Edward Gillespie OBE, in October, and will be further celebrated with a Royal Reception at Buckingham Palace.
“We started in 2011 with ten staff and not a single client. It was a terrifying prospect that went against all the norms of establishing a new business. But we exploited a gap in the market for a highly customised global travel company that was driven by knowledge, passion and an entirely different approach to planning & delivering experiential travel. Nine years later we have created a multi-million pound business employing 26 local people and supporting numerous businesses both locally, and in developing countries ”
– George Morgan-Grenville, CEO & Founder
“I am delighted that Her Majesty the Queen has approved the Prime Minister’s recommendation that Red Savannah should receive a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category. This is great news for Cheltenham and my congratulations to George Morgan-Grenville and the whole team at Red Savannah.”
– Alex Chalk MP, Member of Parliament for Cheltenham and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Justice
