Located in the western sector of the game-rich Sabi Sands Private Reserve, which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park, Dulini Moya is part of a collection of three exclusive lodges which deliver an unforgettable safari experience.
Sitting on the banks of the Mabrak River, shaded by ebony and leadwood trees, the main lodge opens out onto a cantilevered viewing deck where it is possible to spot game wandering through the camp and along the riverbed. Sightings of the elusive leopard are not uncommon.
Six thatched suites grace the riverbanks and feature private plunge pools and a lovely outdoor seating area. Early morning and late afternoon game drives are the highlight of the Dulini experience, offering you the chance of excellent wildlife sightings in the company of experienced rangers and trackers.
As well as the Big Five, you may be fortunate enough to see cheetah, spotted hyena, rare wild dog and plenty of antelope and other plains game. Drives are rounded off with either a hearty breakfast in the bush or sundowners by the vehicle as the sun dips below the horizon, before heading back to the lodge.
In addition to drives, guests can enjoy game walks, during which your ranger will explain how to ‘read’ the bush and get you up close to the park’s flora and smaller fauna. Dinners are served on the deck or in the boma – a traditional setting in front of a roaring fire, where African bush yarns are often spun.
