The incredibly stylish Singita Boulders Lodge spreads along the banks of the Sand River in Singita’s privately owned reserve, located within the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. Inspired by the geometry of the boulders on which it rests, the lodge is a tranquil oasis, where organic interiors blend into the rugged beauty of the African wilderness. Each of the 12 suites has a game viewing deck and plunge pool overlooking the surrounding bushveld, with views of the river or watering hole.
Early morning and late afternoon game drives are the highlight of the Singita experience, offering you the chance of excellent wildlife sightings. As well as the Big Five, you may be fortunate enough to see wild dog, cheetah, and spotted hyena, in addition to plenty of reedbuck, nyala and other plains game. In addition to game drives, guests can also enjoy guided safari walks, during which your ranger will explain how to ‘read’ the bush and get you up close to the park’s flora and smaller fauna.
Drives are rounded off with either a hearty breakfast in the bush or sundowners by the vehicle as the sun dips below the horizon, before heading back for a delicious dinner and an extensive list of fine wines. Pre-dinner drinks in the bar always inspire great conversation as guests swap tales of the day’s excitement.
