Day 1 Arrive Cape Town
Once warmly greeted at Cape Town’s airport you will be transferred to The Silo, towering over the bustling V&A Waterfront. The hotel has a fascinating history and is a testament to the city's cultural rebirth. The Silo is situated in what was once a massive elevator tower, part of a grain silo complex at the heart of South Africa's agricultural economy. The grain silo functioned for some 80 years. It ceased operation in 2001 and stood empty until its rebirth as a hotel and unique art gallery, the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa. The Silo's 28 rooms have been individually designed by Liz Biden with a stylish, industrial feel, eclectic furnishings and inspirational art.
