Day 1 Arrive in Johannesburg
On arrival in Johannesburg, you will be met and transferred north to Leobo The Observatory. Set in the malaria-free Waterberg region, Leobo Private Reserve spans 20,000-acres of African wilderness. Rented on an exclusive-use basis, the estate is fully staffed by friendly and attentive staff who will assist you to plan your day exactly as you choose. The Observatory accommodates up to six adults and three children, with interiors full of imagination and one-of-a-kind artefacts. There are numerous outdoor and indoor terraces as well as a cool mezzanine level for relaxation, and a rather magnificent dining area crowned with a chandelier crafted from a hippo skeleton. The pièce de resistance is the two-level library with a domed roof which opens up the sky with a 20-inch telescope. Dining is always a highlight at Leobo, with a top chef organising surprise bush breakfasts and traditional braais with the finest locally sourced ingredients, accompanied by top international and South African wines.

Day 5 - 6 Safari in the Madikwe
Enjoy two full days to delve into the rich surroundings of Morukuru River House. Stays here do not follow a set schedule, but are built entirely around your own individual preferences. Head out into the Big 5 reserve, equipped with a gourmet picnic, and stay out all day exploring this pristine wilderness. Alternatively enjoy some leisurely time in the exclusive surrounds of your private house, perhaps unwinding with a massage or two while a dedicated child minder ensures the younger members of the party are kept well entertained. Recline by the infinity pool where, with a little luck, you might see elephants, buffalos or antelope coming down to the Marico River for a drink. Spend a night under the stars at the Morukuru Hide or immerse yourself in the local culture during a drumming and dancing lesson with traditional performers.
