Nestled on the banks of the meandering Mara River, in the Lamai triangle which forms part of the Serengeti Mara ecosystem, is Singita Mara River Tented Camp, featuring six stunning safari tents - natural materials, including raw leather are combined with the bold Masai colours and young African designers and craftsmen's beautiful artwork; creating a chic look and a relaxed atmosphere, providing the ideal setting for a spa treatment.
The camp is a fantastic base to witness the breath-taking mass migration (June to October) of herds of wildebeest and zebra across the Mara River, which is heaving with vast numbers of crocodiles and hippopotamuses, making for a treacherous crossing and incredible game viewing. Big cats, elephants and an abundance of other species can be seen all year round on the surrounding plains.
There are four one-bedroom en suite tents and two family tents, each spaced along the banks of the river, both with wooden decking, providing wonderful vistas of the Serengeti Plains and the Mara River.
Children aged ten and over are welcome.
