XANADU VILLAS AND RETREAT

ACCOMMODATION

Xanadu comprises three one-bedroom and three two-bedroom villas variously featuring rooftop seating areas, private lounges and individual plunge pools. Four have their own kitchen, three have direct beach access and each is surrounded by a small tropical garden.

Each villa has a completely individual design and personalised décor using vibrant colours on a muted background or whites and creams to create a fresh and light atmosphere. For those with an eye for innovative style, Xanadu is a must and honeymooners in particular will love its beauty and romance.

FOOD & DRINK

As you would expect in such stylish surroundings, the food at Xanadu is carefully prepared and exquisitely presented. The experienced chef works with locally-sourced ingredients to produce Swahili-inspired dishes with a focus on fresh seafood and vegetables served in attractively delicate portions. Soft drinks, local beers and house wines are included in your stay.

Each villa is serviced by a private butler so meals can also be taken in your villa, on the beach or on your private rooftop terrace and dishes can be made to order.

FACILITIES

The Kiota Spa is an oasis of tranquillity nestling by the beach where guests can take advantage of a range of massages, body scrubs and reflexology and beauty treatments or alternatively request that therapists treat them in the privacy of their villa.

Marine-based activities such as sea kayaking, snorkelling and SUP boarding are included in the rate and available directly from Xanadu’s beach. Each villa has its own plunge pool while there is also a larger main pool in the heart of the resort.

OUT & ABOUT

Stone Town, with its Arabic-influenced traditional architecture, is just a 50-minute drive away and well-worth a half or full day trip to get a sense of the island’s trading history. Tours to spice farms, village and Jozani Forest are also easily arranged. For a truly local taste, go on a three hour quad bike trip through villages and farms in the north of the island.

Kite surfing and diving are available nearby and can be booked through Xanadu’s activities manager.
