Day 1 Arrive Kampala
Check in to your hotel in central Kampala.

Day 2 Kampala - Crater Lakes Region
Enjoy a picnic lunch en route to Kibale, travelling via Mubende and Fort Portal. On arrival, relax at your lodge or explore the nearby crater lake. Ndali Lodge sits on the rim of an extinct volcano which has since filled with water to form Lake Nyinambuga.

Day 3 - 4 Crater Lakes Region
Track noisy chimps as they crash through the high canopy of the forest with colourful birds squawking nearby. Visit the Mahoma Waterfall or relax in a boat observing the variety of birds, butterflies and primates. Visit some of the small local industries to see the banana and vanilla plantations, coffee terraces, cassava plots, groundnuts and sorghum.

Day 5 Foothills of Rwenzoris - Queen Elizabeth National Park
Take a morning's walk into the foothills of the Rwenzoris. Continue to the Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 6 - 7 Queen Elizabeth National Park
Take an excursion deep into the Kyamburu Gorge to spot chimpanzees with your guide. Cruise along the Kazinga Channel and get close to hippos and crocodiles as they meander along. In the evening you might want to enjoy the spectacular views over the park from your private balcony.

Day 8 Queen Elizabeth National Park - Bwindi Forest
Transfer to the magnificently named Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Day 9 - 10 Bwindi Forest
Enjoy a memorable couple of days tracking mountain gorilla in their natural habitat. Additional activities include a forest walk to the stunning waterfall with a member of the Batwa tribe and guided nature walks to enjoy the exotic flora and fauna of the jungle.

Day 11 Bwindi Forest - Rwanda
Cross over to the land of a thousand hills, Rwanda, enjoying the volcanic landscape en route. This evening, enjoy sundowners with the stunning volcanoes as a backdrop.

Day 12 Virunga Mountains
Enjoy a day's gorilla tracking in the Parc National des Volcans. The mountain gorilla can be elusive but a sighting can be the richest of rewards.

Choose between gorilla tracking once again or from a variety of activities: trek to Dian Fossey's grave, visit Ros Carr's orphanage, climb the Muhavura volcano.
