This family-run wilderness retreat is inspired by a deep love of Africa. From humble beginnings in 2019, it has grown into one of Zambia’s most striking safari camps. Key to the camp’s success is its relationship with the local community, vital partners in Sungani’s quest to preserve Zambia’s unique environment and share it with visitors from across the globe.
Laid out along the banks of a lagoon just off the Luangwa River, Sungani’s seven luxury tents are perfectly positioned for laid-back wildlife spotting, with expansive decks and private plunge pools where you can relax and watch the region’s bountiful array of animals and birds drinking and bathing in the waters around you. Arranged on raised platforms, the custom-designed tents offer plenty of space both inside and out. Interiors are dressed in understated, earthy tones and equipped with unique pieces of furniture handcrafted from rough-hewn local wood.
