Day 1 Arrive South Luangwa National Park
Arrive Lusaka and transfer by light aircraft to Mfuwe and then on to the South Luangwa National Park and your camp on the banks of the Luangwa. Located at a section where the Luangwa River is unusually wide, this lodge offers some spectacular views of the surrounding area. Accommodation consists of five tented rooms, one of which is a honeymoon suite. The canvas and thatched roofed structures have their sides rolled up during the day, opening the full length of the tents onto the grassed verandas. Each tented room has an en-suite bathroom, a twin or double bed and is situated in a private position parallel to the river, placing them literally in the centre of the animal activity.

Day 2 - 3 South Luangwa National Park
Enjoy day and night game drives seeking the leopards for which this park is renowned. Alternatively cruise down the river or visit the Kawaza Village, where guests have the opportunity to buy fabulous hand painted Tribal textiles.

Day 4 Luangwa Valley
Transfer by road to Mchenja Camp. This remote camp is located beneath a grove of ebony trees overlooking a sweeping bend in the Luangwa River. With an open-sided bar and lounge area, guests can take full advantage of the fantastic game viewing opportunities as they look out over the river where the animals come to drink. The accommodation comprises of five specially designed octagonal tents, each with its own private en-suite open air bathroom offering a view of the river. Renowned for being one of the most luxurious lodges in the South Luangwa, Mchenja has fantastic reviews for its incredible food and extremely knowledgeable, award winning guides.

Day 5 - 6 South Luangwa National Park
Further explore the South Luangwa National Park, either on foot or by vehicle. The bird watching in this region is exceptional.

Day 7 Mfuwe - Livingstone - Tongabezi
Transfer to Mfuwe Airport, and depart on your flight to Livingstone Airport, and then by road to Tongabezi, which lies on the banks of the Zambezi River. Located fifteen kilometres upstream from Victoria Falls. Tonabezi holds a prime position on the Zambian banks of the river and comprises of a number of free standing houses and cottages, perfect for families and honeymooners alike. With a lovely elevated lounge area, set on top of a beautiful wooden decking, 'the Boathouse' as it is known offers the perfect setting for complete relaxation or for interaction with fellow travellers. Renowned for its incredibly warm hospitality and highly attentive service this lodge offers guests the chance to really unwind.
The accommodation itself varies. The five private houses are totally exclusive and the bedrooms come equipped with large twin or king beds, fully en-suite facilities with huge open-air sunken baths and private balconies overlooking the river. The bedrooms are completely open to the river apart from their thatched roofs giving guests the feeling that they are sleeping in the great outdoors.
The six River Garden Cottages are not quite as open to the elements. They still come with the large twin or king beds but the rooms are enclosed and the bathrooms have Victorian baths placed at the large windows.

Day 8 - 9 Victoria Falls - Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park
Enjoy a range of activities including visiting the mighty Victoria Falls, canoeing and sunset cruises, game drives in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park and visits to local craft markets.

Day 10 Livingstone - Chongwe River camp, Lower Zambezi Valley
Transfer to by light aircraft to Chongwe River Camp in Zambia's Lower Zambezi Valley. The main guest areas are canvas canopies, with open sides, set beneath mature winter thorn trees at the confluence of the Zambezi and Chongwe Rivers. The lounges are furnished with native woods and leathers and the seating supports plump cushions of white cottons. Outside there is a sandy camp fire area and a refreshing pool overlooking the river. Guests can enjoy true bush dining under the canvas or anywhere along the river's edge.
The accommodation itself comprises of nine canvas and thatched structures. The light and airy bedrooms support light curtaining and huge gauze windows and the en-suite bathrooms come equipped with double vanities and open-air showers. The seating areas are furnished with hand crafted furniture and extend onto private verandas offering guests breath-taking views of the river.

Day 11 - 12 Lower Zambezi National Park
Enjoy game viewing in the Lower Zambezi National Park or the Chiawa Partnership Park. You can also go canoeing, walking or fishing along the Zambezi.

Transfer to Lusaka. Connect to your onward international flight home.
