Day 1 Arrive South Luangwa National Park
Your Zambian safari starts at Three Rivers Bush Camp, located at the confluence of the Luangwa, Luzangazi and Kapamba Rivers, where you will spend the next three nights. The camp has five luxury en-suite tents with earthy, but sophisticated, interiors and extensive views of the river or the lagoon. Each tent has its own deck as well as a raised platform where one can sleep out and enjoy a night under the African sky.

Day 2 - 3 South Luangwa National Park
Spend the next two days on safari, with the focus on walking safaris that take place in the superb area around the camp. The area features open lagoons and is teeming with wildlife including big herds of elephant and buffalo, giraffe, antelope, wild dog. Big cats are particularly prevalent.

Day 4 Lusaka
Today you will fly from the South Luangwa to Zambia's capital city, Lusaka.

Day 5 Liuwa Plain National Park
Continue your safari adventure and fly from Lusaka to Liuwa Plain National Park, one of Africa's oldest conservation areas and made famous by the film The Last Lioness based on the matriarch lioness, Lady Liuwa, who still resides in the park. Liuwa is host to the second largest wildebeest migration in Africa, during October and November when over 40,000 wildebeest thunder across seasonally flooded grass plains dotted with wooded islands, followed by lion, hyena, wild dog, and cheetah. Spend three nights at the luxurious King Lewanika camp in one of their six exquisite villas, each with expansive views over the Plains.

Day 6 - 7 Liuwa Plain National Park
Liuwa is also the home of the Barotse royal household and every year the King moves his palace - paddled by 100 oarsman in a huge black & white canoe - from the lowlands to the highlands in a ceremony called the Ku-omboka.Enjoy day and night game drives, or game walks with the camp's guides. Each guide has over ten years experience and is deeply knowledgeable. Participatory conservation drives with the Zambia Carnivore Programme research team and evening lectures by the Zambia Carnivore Programme are also highlights.

Day 8 Victoria Falls (Zambia)
Depart Liuwa Plains and head towards Victoria Falls where you will spend two nights at the beautiful Thorntree River Lodge, a unique and romantic lodge located on the banks of the legendary Zambezi. Each suite has its own indoor and outdoor bathrooms, a luxurious plunge pool and overlooks its own stretch of pristine river frontage. Spend your afternoon on a privately guided tour of the iconic Victoria Falls, situated a short drive away from the lodge.

Day 9 Victoria Falls (Zambia)
Thorntree River Lodge is set in Zambia's Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park where you can spend part of your day rhino tracking on foot. Other activities include sunrise and sunset boat cruises on the lodge's fleet private river boats, canoe trips or a picnic lunch on a private island in the middle of the Zambezi.

Transfer to Livingstone Airport in time to catch your international flight home.
