Day 2 Siem Reap & Temples of Angkor
Join your private guide and head to the East Gate to explore Ta Prohm. You may recognise this atmospheric ruin from its starring role in numerous films, its towers, corridors and walls embraced by the encircling jungle roots. You'll have a couple of hours to explore Ta Prohm, as well as the multi-faced towers of the Bayon, before a picnic breakfast. You'll collect bicycles to explore the temple complex further - the flat shaded trails through the jungle are perfect for exploring by bicycle.
You'll take lunch in a private Khmer house before an afternoon at leisure - either continuing to explore by bike or returning to your hotel to indulge in the Shinta Mani Spa, where treatments use traditional herbs to relax and restore the senses. This evening enjoy a performance at the remarkable Phare Circus, a social enterprise which provides education in performing arts to young adults.

Continue to travel southeast out of Siem Reap to one of the largest and least-visited villages on the Tonle Sap Lake, Kompong Khleang. Cruise along the intricate system of canals and out into open water to see the striking high stilted houses.
