Day 1 Arrive in Delhi
Arrive in Delhi and after clearing immigration you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Here you can enjoy an afternoon at leisure exploring your hotel and the surrounding area.Your home for the next three nights will be the Imperial Hotel. Built in the 1930's and renowned for being Delhi's landmark hotel it retains its former colonial-era elegance and offers a very high standard of accommodation. Furthermore it boasts fantastic facilities and exquisite dining as well as being home to a fascinating collection of 18th and 19th Century art.

Day 2 Old and New Delhi
This morning join your guide for a comprehensive tour of Old and New Delhi. Highlights include the government buildings of Lutyens' Delhi and Humayun's Tomb (a red sandstone predecessor of the Taj Mahal). Old Delhi is a stark contrast to the wide avenues of New Delhi, with small winding bazaars surrounding the Red Fort and Jama Masjid, best explored on foot.

Day 3 Agra
Today will be an early start for your day trip. Your will be met and driven for three - four hours to Agra. Highlights include visiting the Red Fort and the Itamad-Ud-Daulah (more commonly known as the Baby Taj). After this you will then be returned by car to Delhi in the afternoon/early evening.

Day 4 Delhi - Jabalpur - Bandhavgarh National Park
On arrival at Jabalpur you will be met and driven to Bandhavgarh National Park. Here you will spend the next three nights staying at Mahua Kothi. This luxurious lodge is located in vast grounds about a ten minute drive from Badhavgarh National Park. Guests can enjoy exploring the grounds on readily available bicycles. The lodge's twelve suites are scattered around the grounds giving guests a sense of seclusion and privacy. They offer rustic sophistication with wooden shutters, handmade pottery roof tiles and open rafters with roughhewn beams; each suite has its own courtyard.

Day 5 - 6 Bandhavgarh National Park
Spend mornings and afternoons on game drives with specially trained naturalists in search of the world famous Bengal Tiger. Non-wildlife activities include swimming in the lovely pool at the lodge or organising a traditional tandoori meal under the magnificent Mahua or butter tree, which is a great way to end the day.

Day 7 Kanha National Park
Here you will be staying at Banjaar Tola. Located overlooking the lush forests and grassy meadows of Kanha National Park, Banjaar Tola comprises eighteen lightweight tented suites which are spread out along the riverbank. Each tent has canvas walls and roof, large glass doors and a private veranda overlooking the Banjaar River. Furnished with handmade furniture, canvas wardrobes and leather detailing the tents are rustic but extremely comfortable. The food is excellent and a sundowner overlooking the river is just the ticket at the end of a hard day's tiger tracking.

Day 8 - 9 Kanha National Park
Spend the mornings and afternoons on safari in Kanha National Park, one of India's largest national parks. Known for its high tiger concentration and as the last remaining habitat of the hard ground barasingha, or swamp deer, Kanha National Park has an abundance of wildlife. Guests can enjoy safaris in four by fours or on elephant back depending on Park authorities.

Day 10 Jabalpur - Indore - Maheshwar
Here you will spend the next three nights at Ahilya Fort. This beautiful old fort is located in Maheshwar, a small town on the banks of the wide blue Narmada River. Accommodation comprises of ten rooms and two luxury tents pitched on the ramparts of the fort. They are all furnished with native materials giving a timeless rustic feel to them whilst remaining perfectly comfortable. Family run, the service is fantastic and staff will happily take you out on a boat trip in the river with a G&T or whatever else you require.

Day 11 - 12 Maheshwar
Day at leisure in Maheshwar - there is plenty to do. Visit the famous Maheshwari saree weavers and the small bazaar or organise cooking lessons, bird watching or excursions further afield.

Day 13 Mumbai
On arrival in Mumbai you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure.

Transfer to Mumbai airport for your international flight home.
