Day 1 Arrive in Bali
Enjoy a VIP arrival in Bali with assistance through all airport formalities, before being privately transferred one hour along the coast to Tanah Lot. Tanah Lot is home to Bali's most iconic temple, and your base for the next three nights is Nirjhara. This eco-resort seamlessly blends ancient Balinese architecture with contemporary luxury and boasts its own waterfall amidst verdant rice fields and river cascades.

Day 2 Tanah Lot Temple and Tugudom Royal Dinner
After a relaxing morning, explore Tanah Lot's 15th century temple with your private guide. One of Bali's most photographed temples, it is one of seven sea temples built to ward off evil spirits. Watch the sun disappear from the horizon before driving 30 minutes to Tugu Bali to experience the Royal Tugudom private dinner, where a parade of staff dressed as the King's entourage will entertain you with dancing and serve you a feast fit for Royalty.

Day 3 Rice Terrace Cycling in Wanagiri
An early start rewards you with the best part of the day as you cycle on e-bikes through rice fields, farm tracks, cocoa and coffee plantations with your private guide. Your three-hour cycling will finish at Clove Tree Hill where you can enjoy stunning views and a sumptuous picnic lunch. You will then be driven back to your hotel for an afternoon to relax.

Day 4 Jatiluwih Rice Terraces and Munduk
Today you will be transferring to Munduk, in the heart of Bali, which would normally be a drive of just under three hours. However, to make more of the day, we have included several stops and some cycling. Your first stop offers a stroll through a local fruit orchard producing the freshest durian, mangosteens, coconut, avodaco and palm sugar. Here you will mount your e-bikes and pedal through rice terraces, valleys and peaceful villages, stopping at Pura Luhur Batakaru, a sacred Hindu temple sitting at the foot of Batukaru Mountain. Your next stop is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Jatiluwih Valley, showcasing some of the most astonishing rice terraces in the world. A picnic lunch will be served here before you are driven on to Munduk where your home for the next two nights is a boutique resort surrounded by hills and forests.

Day 5 Rainforest Trekking and Canoeing
Rise early to enjoy mountains, lakes and rice terraces, exploring by car, on foot and by canoe. Bali's Lake District sits in the central highlands and contains three volcanic lakes; Beratan, Buyan and Tamblingan. In ancient times Lake Beratan was the only lake until a devastating earthquake divided it into three. A 40-minute walk through the jungle leads you to Lake Tamblingan, where your dugout canoe will be waiting for you. Paddle across the lake to a sacred spring only accessible by water, and then on to Gubug Village where your car and driver will be waiting for you. Enjoy a well-deserved and leisurely lunch at Munduk Moding Plantation restaurant before heading back to your hotel.

Day 6 Lakes and Waterfalls
Today you will visit the Bali's original, but now second largest lake, Lake Beratan which is 30 minutes from your hotel. Sitting on "the holy mountain", named for its rich and fertile soil, this lake is the source of irrigation for rice fields and plantations across the entire Bedugul Village. It is also home to the iconic Hindu temple of Ulun Dan Beratan, built in 1633 and dedicated to the goddess controlling Bali's water distribution and irrigation system.
Drive southeast for 40 minutes to Nungnung Waterfall in Pelaga Village. Surrounded by rainforest with clear-water pools, this is a very photogenic spot. Enjoy lunch at Pelaga Eco Park where some choose to "glamp" in the canvas huts by the river, but you will be taken an hour's drive on to Ubud, and your more comfortable lodgings at in the heart of Ubud Town.

Day 7 Ubud Heritage and White Water Rafting
A memorable white-water rafting adventure awaits this morning. Paddling through the rainforest surroundings, discover hidden waterfalls, local shrines and clear pools for swimming as you make your way gently down the Ayung River. The adventure takes you through seven miles of Grade II and III rapids until you reach Kedewatan Village. Once showered and changed, enjoy a gourmet Indonesian buffet lunch before being driven to the Monkey Forest Sanctuary, where the lush vegetation is filled with playful monkeys. Ubud Palace is your next stop, once a royal residence and now a historic Balinese landmark. Browse Ubud's market where stall holders sell handicrafts, clothing, souvenirs and fresh produce before returning to your hotel for the balance of the day at leisure.

Day 8 Batur Volcano and Ubud Village Cycling
An hour's drive from your hotel brings you to Penelokan Village this morning, on the rim of the Batur Volcano. After a cup of freshly brewed Bali coffee, mount your bicycles and pedal through the mandarin plantation where you can join local farmers in their work and taste the freshest oranges straight from the tree. Pedal on through the rice fields and tropical rainforest valley leading to Sebatu Village, home to artists, wood carvers and Gunung Kawi Temple. Continue cycling on to Bentuyung Village which is featured in the film "Eat, Pray, Love" and round off the morning with a delicious lunch. The balance of the day is at leisure to enjoy the wonderful facilities of your Ubud hotel.

Day 9 Mount Batur Sunset Dinner Hike
After a relaxing morning, you will be collected at lunchtime for the drive to Mount Batur. Enjoy a two-and-a-half hour hike up to the peak where you can enjoy a bottle of Champagne and watch the sun set as your three course dinner is cooked on the rim of the volcano. Afterwards retrace your steps down the peak and be driven back to your hotel for a good night's sleep.

Day 10 Iseh Village Cycling to Virgin Beach
A cycling adventure from Iseh Village awaits this morning. The eastern side of Bali showcases stunning landscapes as you carve your way through great volcanic valleys, rice terraces and lush tropical rainforests by bicycle, with glimpses of the ocean and Agung Mountain in the background. At Sibetan Village you can meet local farmers before cycling on down to the beach. Unlike other beaches on this coast, Virgin Beach has white sand and perfect conditions for an ocean swim. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before continuing on to your hotel, set in a seaside coconut grove in Candidasa.

Day 11 Snorkelling at Blue Lagoon Bay
You are now perfectly positioned to experience some of Bali's best snorkelling, and your day will be made all the more special by a local fisherman Dana who will take you out in his traditional outrigger. Dana will welcome you to his clifftop home, with spectacular ocean views, as you collect your kit and head off to Blue Lagoon Bay. The crystal-clear waters are teeming with beautiful marine life and colourful coral, and your time here is entirely your own. Lunch will be taken in a local restaurant on the beach with more time for swimming and relaxation before your transfer back to the hotel whenever you are ready.

Day 12 Historical Tenganan Village and Water Palaces
After breakfast, your guide will drive you to the nearby village of Tenganan, home to the indigenous people of Bali Aga. Having spent their lives isolated in the mountains, they are less influenced by Hindu-Buddhist traditions and will be proud to show you their unique ways of life. Enjoy a delicious Balinese lunch in a local restaurant, where wood-fired stoves are using to cook traditional dishes made with fresh, locally produced ingredients. From here it is an hour's drive on to Taman Ujung, one of three water palaces built by King Anak Agung Anglurahasa, as a retreat for his family. On your way back to the hotel, stop at Tirta Gangga Palace, known as "Water of the Ganges"; a beautiful park with a large fountain and pond.
