Day 6 Fly to Sumba
Disembark back in Labuan Bajo this morning and fly direct to Sumba, where you will be driven across the island to the incredible resort of NIHI Sumba. Sumba is one of those rare places on earth where long held traditions remain very much in evidence, with ancient rituals and traditional dress still observed by many of the inhabitants. NIHI Sumba sits within this environment, respecting the customs of the islanders, whilst offering guests a truly immersive experience. NIHI Sumba's 21 private villas lie nestled among the island's greenery, built by local craftsman with the upmost respect for the natural environment. All of the understated luxury villas are spacious with air-conditioning and private pools. However, the most notable feature is the strong connection with the surrounding landscape, with some living areas open to the elements and all with stunning Indian Ocean views.

Day 7 - 10 Relax at NIHI Sumba
For the next four days you can enjoy both water and land activities including surfing, fishing, walking and exploring ancient villages. The Boathouse is the focal point for all water-based activities and a world class team of watermen will guide you depending on your level of expertise. Sumba is noted for its famous left break - "Occy's Left" - which attracts surfers from all over the world. Inland is equally fascinating.
Guests may explore the island, perhaps taking a picnic under the Lapopu Waterfalls, following butterfly trails and visiting ancient tribal villages. For the more energetic, there is mountain biking, walking and riding. For those planning to return fully rejuvenated, the Spa Safari is a must. Regular yoga classes are held in the communal Creekside Pavilion. However, for the ultimate well-being experience you could head to Lopopu waterfall for your own private yoga class accompanied by the sounds of cascading water and bird song. Witness the work of the Sumba Foundation, whose one mission is to improve the well-being of the islanders through education, nutritional support, the digging of wells and the eradication of malaria.
