Don't miss the dough fritters, pork spareribs, shrimp dumplings and dim sum at the wet market in Campbell Street, built around 1900 and possibly the oldest market in George Town. Day 5 Kek Lok Si Temple and Penang Hill
This morning, meet your guide for a visit to the iconic Kek Lok Si Temple; a 25-minute drive from George Town. Walk around this majestic Buddhist-Taoist temple, home to 10,000 Buddha Pagodas and the Tortoise Pond of Longevity, and the Goddess of Mercy pavilion shelters a gigantic statue of Kuan Yin. When ready, your guide will take you on to Penang Hill, standing 830 metres above sea level, with a Swiss funicular railway to take you to the top. As you journey up the hill, you will pass through hill farms and lush tropical jungles and once at the top you are rewarded by a breath-taking view of Penang and the mainland Province of Wellesley. Afterwards, you will be driven back to your hotel with the afternoon and evening at leisure.
