An hour's flight from Bangkok, tucked away in the exotic bamboo jungles of Chiang Rai province in Northern Thailand's Golden Triangle, Four Seasons' luxury tented camp evokes the romantic spirit of 19th century explorers. Its 15 air-conditioned tents have a colonial safari-style décor crafted using local hardwoods and bamboo. The open-plan sleeping and living area features a romantic mosquito-netted bed and beautiful free-standing bathtub. Each has a private terrace either looking towards Burma and Laos, or the jungle of the Golden Triangle. Some tents feature their own jacuzzi, allowing you to absorb the vistas in supreme style.
The camp has partnered with the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation to rescue and adopt over 20 elephants from city streets. During your stay, wake early to climb Camp Peak with one of the elephants and watch the sunrise over the mountains of Laos or learn to be an elephant whisperer and gain a deeper understanding of these magnificent animals as you bathe, feed and walk with them.
