Day 1 Hai Phong - Lan Ha Bay
Lan Ha Bay sits in the Gulf of Tonkin, only recently opened to the public. This hidden world offers the same magical scenery as Halong Bay, iconic limestone karsts and tiny islets, but without the crowds.
Ginger is amongst the first boats to cruise these waters, offering 12 suites (each with its own balcony), swimming pool, spa, restaurant and bar.
Board Ginger at the pier in Hai Phong at 12h00 and enjoy lunch as you set sail. Relax on the sun deck, enjoy the pool or test the Lady Ginger Spa as you head deeper and further south into the maze of Lan Ha Bay. At Viet Hai Village, you can hop on bikes (or e-buggies) to explore the local village and school and meet the inhabitants. Back on board chef will entertain you with a cooking demonstration, before cocktails are served under the stars ahead of dinner in the dining room. Before retiring to bed there is squid fishing or a film in the cinema for those that wish.

Day 2 Lan Ha Bay - Hai Phong
Enjoy an early session of Tai Chi on the sun deck before Ginger ups anchor and cruises to Frog Lake, a secluded spot perfect for kayaking or swimming. Feel a sense of freedom as you paddle through the lake with a backdrop of tree-topped islands. Back on board a hearty breakfast is served as you cruise back into harbour, arriving at 11h00 and from where you can continue your onward journey.
