Day 1 Arrive in Hanoi
Arrive in Vietnam's thriving capital city of Hanoi, known for its centuries old architecture and atmospheric Old Quarter. On arrival at Hanoi airport, you will be met by our representative, fast-tracked through all immigration formalities and privately transferred to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure for you to recover from your journey.

Day 2 Exploring Hanoi
This morning, meet your guide for a private tour of Hanoi. Exploring the railway line provides a wonderful opportunity to discover the real life of the city behind the main streets. Continue on to discover other fascinating sights such as the Temple of Literature, the Hoan Kiem Lake, the Ngoc Son Temple and an ancient Vietnamese "long house". Round off the experience with a one-hour trishaw cyclo tour of Hanoi's Old Quarter, offering an intriguing insight into traditional Vietnamese architecture.

Day 3 Hanoi's Coffee Culture
After breakfast, meet your private guide at the hotel as you will spend the morning in Hanoi learning the history and science behind coffee production in Vietnam. You will begin the day at a local roastery, where you will discover how coffee grown in the Central Highlands turns from freshly-picked green nuggets to the rich brown kernels that make the finest Vietnamese coffee. Visit some local street vendors along the way, where you will have the opportunity to try some of the country's strongest coffees and ground beans. You will then travel on to one of Hanoi's hip coffee shops, sipping some of the finest espresso-style artisan coffee in Vietnam. The afternoon is at leisure for you to further explore Hanoi at your own pace, or perhaps indulge in a bit of pampering in the hotel spa.

Day 4 Hanoi to Saigon
Depart Hanoi this morning and take a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City, locally known as Saigon. Later this afternoon you will be met by your guide for a thrilling introduction to Saigon by Vespa. Riding pillion with a professional driver, you will uncover the back streets and parts of the city that are otherwise inaccessible. You will also be able to delve into the city's culinary scene and sample local dishes including crepes and seafood. Discover the diversity of the cafés and bars, perhaps lingering longer to take in a jazz venue and other popular local haunts.

Day 5 Experience Saigon
After breakfast at your hotel, set out with a private guide to discover the many cultural and historical attractions of Saigon. Stroll along the historic Rue Catinat and then visit the Notre Dame Cathedral with its 40 metre towers, reminiscent of its Parisian namesake. Next door, the beautifully-preserved French colonial Central Post Office marks a sharp contrast with the Reunification Palace. Constructed during the 1960s, this is the venue made famous when the a North Vietnamese Army tank crashed through the main gate, ending the Vietnam War. You will also be able to visit the War Remnants Museum before your guide leaves you to enjoy an afternoon at leisure.

Day 6 Cu Chi Tunnels
Meet your guide and travel to the pier to board your private speedboat for a morning expedition up the Saigon River to Cu Chi, home of the Cu Chi Tunnels. This underground network, dug during the French-Indochine wars, is where the Viet Cong built bunkers and field hospitals. They were expanded during later conflicts and proved to be a constant thorn in the side of the Saigon regime. During your time here you will see original film footage from the period and also have the opportunity to go down enlarged sections of tunnel and see first-hand what life was like for the soldiers here. You will then return to Saigon by private speedboat to enjoy an afternoon at leisure.

Day 7 Saigon to Phu Quoc
Today you'll head off the Vietnamese mainland for a chance to unwind on one of Vietnam's most idyllic beaches on the island of Phu Quoc. After your short domestic flight from Saigon, be privately transferred to The Regent Phu Quoc. Nestled on the white sands of Phu Quoc Island's western coast, this Vietnamese enclave holds a kind of captivating magic, where untouched tropical landscapes are interwoven with the rustic charm of an idyllic island life. Looking out over the terrace, the calm blue waters of the Gulf of Thailand stretch before you. An ideal position for taking in the islet's famous sunsets, watching the skyline illuminate as day gives way to night.

Day 8 - 10 Beach relaxation in Phu Quoc
Enjoy three full days to unwind in the blissful surroundings of your Phu Quoc hotel. Recline on the pristine beach, take in the views from the infinity pool or retreat to the spa for a soothing treatment. Should you find yourself getting restless, the hotel's yacht can be chartered for coastal explorations, and other activities include snorkelling, kayaking, paddle boarding and Vietnamese cookery classes.
