Set in one of New Zealand's most remote and untrammelled locations, Minaret Lodge provides access to some of the country's most awe-inspiring landscapes. Owned and run by the Wallis family, who have been flying in the South Island's Alps since the 1960's, the only route in or out is by helicopter. Each of the lodge's four chalets is sustainably designed to blend into the wild mountainside, kitted out with sheepskin carpets, private decks and sunken hot tubs. Additionally, they are equipped with king-sized beds, en-suite bathrooms, a hot tub and private deck, providing the ultimate space to unwind as the sun dips below the mountain tops.
