A well-loved boutique resort on Antigua's northeast coast, Curtain Bluff offers excellent value, with delicious cuisine and innumerable activities all included. The comfortable accommodation is scattered along the beautiful sands and up onto the rocky namesake bluff that offers commanding views of the sea on both sides. With a unique position and genuine hospitality, Curtain Bluff is a truly memorable resort.
A regular on many a magazine's 'Best Hotels in the World' lists, Curtain Bluff has gained a reputation as one of Antigua's most rewarding places to stay. Unpretentious, relaxed and peaceful, it has a beautiful location that provides access to two beaches - one either side of the bluff. The 'surf beach', as it is known, is more lively, while the beach on the other side of the bluff has gentle lapping waters ideal for swimming. Historic Nelson's Dockyard, once the home of the British Navy, as well as many beautiful walking trails are close by, and the resort has a range of excellent facilities for both adults and children.
ACCOMMODATION
There are 72 rooms spread along the 'surf beach' and all the way up Curtain Bluff. Deluxe Rooms and the larger Junior Suites - which have additional living areas - are located in two and three-storey buildings on the beachfront, with ground floor rooms having direct beach access. Bluff Rooms are on the rocky edge, with lovely sea-view terraces, and can be combined with the larger Bluff Suites - which have large garden patios and living areas - to comfortably accommodate two couples or a family. Terrace Rooms are popular with couples due to their secluded location at the very top of the bluff and the added benefit of terraces with Jacuzzis. The Cliff Suites are also high on the bluff, with uninterrupted views of Grace Bay Beach and the surf beach from two separate terraces - one of which features an infinity plunge pool. The largest and most luxurious are the Grace and Morris Bay Suites, located on the third floor with sweeping verandas and Jacuzzis. They can be combined with Junior Suites for an additional bedroom; or alternatively larger parties of up to eight can take the whole floor.
FOR FAMILIES
The CEEBEE club is run from a shaded 'base camp' on the beach, and provides lots of activities to keep children between the ages of three and 10 occupied, from crab races to arts and crafts and cookery. The club is usually open five days a week, with more days added in busy periods. Tamarind Terrace serves children's meals from 6pm each evening. The all-inclusive ethos at Curtain Bluff makes travelling easy as you can relax knowing that most activities - from hobie cat sailing to sports activities - are included. There are also optional extras such as tennis lessons and family sailing excursions aboard the resort's boat, Sentio.
FOR WEDDINGS & HONEYMOONS
Curtain Bluff is a lovely setting for celebrations and a relaxed approach means that everything will be planned around your preferences.
