The BBQ at Shirley Heights is a Sunday-afternoon staple on Antigua, the sounds of reggae and steel-drums reverberating above English Harbour long into the warm evening. Down in the harbour itself, a short distance from delightful Pigeon beach and with views of Montserrat and Falmouth Bay, is the lovely Pigeon Beach House.
Bordered by national park including the World Heritage site of Nelson’s Dockyard, the five-bedroom villa is set in an acre of tropical gardens and comes with swimming pool, indoor and outdoor sound system and air-conditioning in the sea-facing bedrooms. The charming Dorothy provides a housekeeping service 5 day per week and a great cook can be arranged if required. Within a short stroll are Pigeon Beach, the restaurants and bars of English harbour, as well as the sailing school and local shops.
