Water Sport centres are in several locations in the surrounding bays and a regular water taxi runs from Nelson’s Dockyard to Galleon Beach for reef snorkelling in warm, crystal clear waters. Within walking distance, Half Moon Bay is a local favourite for surfing, whilst Pigeon Beach is ideal for families with safe swimming and snorkelling.
