The weekly island barbeque at Shirley Heights is an institution not to be missed. Grilled lobster and rum punch combine with calypso, whilst the sun sets languidly over the Caribbean Sea.
Ten minutes’ drive from Shirley Heights is Villa Musica, a stylish, modern villa set in a raised, hillside position above Falmouth Harbour. Recently renovated to a high specification, the villa is close to the beaches, restaurants, and cafes of this popular corner of the island.
Wide wrap-around terraces surround the property, providing superb views across the bay, as well as shaded dining and outdoor living areas, including a fully equipped outdoor kitchen. A large, infinity edged pool has swim jets and a Jacuzzi, as well as sun loungers and day beds.
Inside, the six bedrooms are air-conditioned and feature wooden sliding doors providing access to the terraces, with ocean and harbour views.
Further features include a gym with treadmill, elliptical, Peloton, free weights, wi-fi, TV, stretching/yoga mats, and massage table. There’s an infra-red sauna, an integrated sound system, living areas, TV snug with 52” smart TV, kitchen, and library with games.
Within less than five minutes’ drive are a range of restaurants, including the beach-front Catherine’s Café Plage on Pigeon Beach, and Loose Cannon on Galleon Beach. At the harbour there’s deep sea fishing, scuba diving, tennis and pickleball, as well as the historic sites of Nelson’s Dockyard and Clarence house.
