Over Yonder Cay is an exclusive eco-friendly private island for up to 28 guests in the heart of the Bahamas' Exuma Sound archipelago. World-class on-island facilities include a nine-hole golf course, floodlit tennis court, gym, movie theatre, and beach club, with yacht charter also available.
Accommodation at Over Yonder Cay is divided over four independent villas. Each has an infinity swimming pool, private beach and fully-air-conditioned living spaces. All are kitted-out with satellite TVs, a Kaleidescape entertainment library and Crestron control system, as well as WiFi and iPads.
MERIDIAN HOUSE
The villa’s eclectic and whimsical Rococo decor provides a stylish and relaxed base for group gatherings, including a grand conservatory with breath-taking views, Steinway piano, and a 12-seat luxury movie theatre. The villa is one of the focal points of activity on the island due to its many facilities. This villa’s accommodation includes a 2,300sqft (214sqm) master suite with viewing tower, private garden, dressing room, salon and spacious bathroom. The three 663sqft (62sqm) guest suites each have a private courtyard and terrace.
WEST SANDS
A few steps from Whale Bone Beach, West Sands sleeps eight guests in four bedrooms. Its beachside location includes outdoor dining and lounging space, a fire pit, hot tub and floor-to-ceiling west-facing windows. West Sands master suite features expansive ocean views and a wraparound sunset balcony. A guest suite includes an independent lounging area and balcony. Downstairs, a further two bedrooms share a Hollywood bathroom.
EAST COVE
In an elevated position looking out over the Exuma Sound, East Cove sleeps six to eight guests in four bedrooms. A modern-traditional decor is complemented by the villa’s extensive poolside lounging. The villa’s suites lead to wraparound balconies with additional seating, whilst two guest bedrooms have queen beds and single-sleeping lofts that are perfect for kids; they share a Hollywood bathroom.
SOUTH POINT
Located on the southern tip of the island, South Point sleeps six guests in three rooms. Flanked by shallow waters teeming with aquatic life, the villa enjoys spectacular views of both the sunrise and sunset. Its lower floor features a games room to entertain kids and grown-ups alike. The villa’s master suite opens directly onto the wraparound balcony and hot tub, and two further bedrooms share a bathroom.
ACTIVITIES
Over Yonder Cay has an almost endless list of activities and adventures, on, off and around the island. On land, there is a nine-hole golf course, floodlit tennis court, gym, spa cabana, beach volleyball, movie theatre, games room, beach club, cycling and nature trails. On the water are a fleet of sailing yachts – including a superyacht, Tenacious (available for charter), as well as jet skis, paddleboards and all the water-sports toys.
Trips to sandbanks, diving excursions, game fishing adventures, snorkelling safaris and sunset sailing cruises can all be arranged. As can yogis, spa therapists, dive masters, ocean masters, water-sports instructors, tennis and golf pros.
CUISINE
Over Yonder Cay's superb culinary team uses only the freshest ingredients including local seafood to create menus tailored to guests’ preferences. All meals and drinks, including soft drinks, house wines, spirits and champagne, are included in the rental fee.
