Sugar Beach is a former 18th Century sugarcane plantation on the southwest coast of St. Lucia built into the mountainside overlooking a pristine white beach and nestled into more than a hundred acres of tropical forest. Its setting is unmatchable and, without exaggeration, is simply one of the most beautiful places on earth.
ACCOMMODATION
All of the guest rooms, bungalows, villas and residences are clustered amid lush foliage to provide privacy and embrace the natural surroundings. The Luxury Sugar Mill Rooms have expansive views of the resort's tropical gardens and palm lawn. Each room has a private walled garden and plunge pool and are within easy reach of the resort's Great House, the swimming pool and the white sands of Anse des Pitons. The Grand Luxury Villas are perfect for families and have gracious plantation-style architecture with pure white decor, and four-poster beds swathed in mosquito netting complemented by dark hardwood floors. The Villas are set high on the hill with stunning views of the Caribbean Sea and are located above the main resort area while the Beachfront Bungalows are literally metres from the sand.
For those with larger families or groups of friends then The Residences are the epitome of luxury and style where you can choose from two, three or four bedroom houses located near the beach. Butler service is available to every guest at the resort.
FOR FAMILIES
Sugar Beach is renowned for its friendliness towards children where nothing is too much trouble and where the staff genuinely care for your little ones. There is a beautifully decorated Kids’ Club painted by the glitter artist Lucy Loveheart that is home to a theatre stage, pinball machine, pool table and even a life-sized doll’s house. Family, teenage and children’s programmes are run daily and are focused on the beach, in the water and around the resort where youngsters can make new friends and learn new skills.
FOR WEDDINGS & HONEYMOONS
If you can imagine yourselves sitting at the Bonté Bar, with your toes in the sand, a cocktail in hand and looking out over the Pitons, then Sugar Beach is the honeymoon destination for you. The resort covers a large area but its emphasis on personal service and privacy make it seem like a much smaller, boutique-style establishment, perfect for that intimate honeymoon but with the activities and facilities of a larger resort. The experienced wedding planners can organise a small ceremony for two or a larger banquet for up to 180 guests. Choose from a number of stunning venues including The Great Lawn, Sugar Beach or the Sunset Deck where some of the most spectacular, panoramic views of the resort and Anse des Pitons are found.
