ACCOMMODATION

Amanyara offers 40 Guest Pavilions and 19 Guests Villas. The Pavillions are all identical in layout, tucked away among lantana, sea grape and button mangrove, with wraparound terraces on three sides overlooking ponds, the beach or the ocean. Some of the Pavilions also have private pools. The Villas are larger, with spacious living areas and three to six bedrooms arranged around an infinity pool and hardwood deck; all come with a personal cook and a housekeeper. The décor is simple but luxurious in a palette of cream and ivory, with polished terrazzo flooring, freestanding bath tubs and an inside-outside aesthetic linking interiors with nature. Most of the Pavilions and Villas are a short stroll from the bar and restaurant; the five-bedroom Artist Ocean Villa is Amanyara's most private Villa, set within nearly three acres.

FOR FAMILIES

This is the perfect resort for families for who relish sea, sunshine and nature in equal measure. The varied room categories means that any size family can be accommodated; cots and extra beds can be added on request. Amanyara’s Nature Discovery Centre offers nature and environmental programmes for children of all ages, with specialist guides leading expeditions along the shoreline as well as critter safaris, scavenger hunts and bird watching. There are also a number of organised sports activities for older children, including football, volleyball, basketball and ping pong tournaments. There is plenty for families to do together, from bonfires on the beach to visiting the spa, which offers a ‘family bonding’ programme for parents and children under 16 years of age as well as family fitness and family yoga. Children’s menus are available in the restaurant. Babysitting available on request.

Amanyara loves a wedding and will take care of every tiny detail, from the guest list to the photographer, while the spa offers a number of special treatments designed to bring positive energy to the big day, including a Groom the Bridegroom package. For honeymooners, private dinners in secluded coves, sunset beach strolls, movie nights in a private cinema are just some of the treats on offer. Or borrow a stargazing kit and discover the night sky, blissfully free from light pollution.
