Ferme Saint Simeon is a family run manor house on the banks of the Seine river estuary, dating back to the 17th century. In its time, it has welcomed many luminaries of the 19th century such as Claude Monet, Charles Baudelaire, Frederic Bazille and Eugène Boudin, making it something of a haven for art and history lovers. The historic nature of the house means that no two rooms are the same, and this has been reflected in their elegant and individual styling. Dining is a particularly enjoyable element of a stay at La Ferme, where guests can select an exquisite eight course ‘Nuances’ tasting menu at Les Impressionistes restaurant, or classic Normandy fare Bistrot La Boucane, located in a 17th century thatched outbuilding that featured in a painting by Monet.
