The Alpilles or ‘little Alps’ mountains run like a spine through rural Provence. At the foot of this craggy outcrop is the Villa Aurelia, a spacious and contemporary-styled villa which sleeps up to 10 guests in comfort and style.
Five air-conditioned bedrooms are presented in warm, neutral tones, have en suite bathrooms and light, airy ceilings. Large windows flood the ground floor with light adding to a sense of space whilst inviting dreamy contemplation of the surrounding Provencal prairie. A smart, open-plan kitchen is fully equipped and leads invitingly onto an adjacent, vine-covered dining terrace.
Outdoors a 12m swimming pool is edged with sun loungers and parasols, and surrounded with lawn, perfect for relation or play. Gardens are edged with olive and oleander, neatly framing the stone and shuttered façade of this wonderfully authentic Provencal property.
Provence is one of France’s most celebrated regions, largely designated National Park and studded with pretty villages, historic sites, world-class vineyard, and lavender fields.
