Capricorn 1 was rescued from terminal decay in a Thai port and sailed back home to Turkey, where she was brought back to life in 2018 with great affection and skill, and transformed into an extremely stylish and graceful yacht once more. No expense was spared on the restoration and whilst one eye was kept very firmly on her traditional roots, the other was used to modernise and update, with the result that Capricorn 1 retains all the character of the traditional, wooden gulet, but in combination with the high-tech modernity of today's pleasure craft. She now sails the Dodecanese & Cyclades Islands and is one of the finest gulets to do so.
There are two master cabins, one in the bow and one in the stern, and three twin cabins, one of which has an additional Pullman bed which turns it into a triple cabin, if needed. As such, the accommodation is extremely flexible. Cabins are all en suite and decorated in the traditional mahogany, but with white ceilings, bedsteads and soft furnishings, to enhance the light that streams in through the portholes and to provide a pleasing contrast with the dark wood.
