An ethereal camp set in primordial surroundings, pioneering Camp Kiattua offers an unparalleled connection to Greenland’s astonishing natural wonders. Situated in a sheltered inlet of the iceberg-dotted Nuuk fjord, the camp is set against a backdrop of some of the world's oldest mountains and a crashing waterfall, offering Arctic seclusion at its finest. The nearest settlement is the small Inuit fishing village of Kapisillit, some 45 minutes away by boat.
The lodgings at Camp Kiattua are spacious tipis, kitted out with sumptuous linens, electric blankets, and reading chairs. Individual bathroom tents with steaming showers are separate and located close by. The central tipi is draped in twinkling lights and offers cosy communal tables and a warming firepit. Watch the chefs get to work seasoning freshly-caught cod – fresh from the fjord - with cloudberry or arctic thyme foraged on site. There is a hot tub filled with mineral-rich glacial water and a smorgasbord of activities to fill your days - scout for humpback whales, learn how to fish for Arctic char with your bare hands, or hunt for golden and orange mushrooms.
