Set across more than 400 hectares in a peaceful Sicilian valley, Tenuta Regaleali is a working estate run by the Tasca d’Almerita family – particular experts in red wine, and the art of Italian hospitality. Its seemingly endless rows of organic vineyards have prospered for more than two hundred years, and more recently the estate has quietly welcomed those in the know to stay among its olive groves and rose gardens.
Just nine rooms are clustered around a magnolia courtyard in this 17th-century palazzo. Rustic stonework and simple charm abound, and fragrant bougainvillea fills the air. Food, meanwhile, is led by traditional recipes and seasonal ingredients from the vegetable garden. A thoroughly Sicilian affair, Tenuta Regaleali is as divine as the surrounding landscape – if not more so.
