Castello di Segalari's grand entrance leads to a formal drawing room with massive timber beams, a sitting room and library, with a priceless collection of fine literature and art books. The children's playroom and billiard room are perfect indoor entertainment, while outside there is a tennis court, a huge swimming pool (heated during the cooler months) and a terrace with masses of sun loungers, sublime views and a fabulous chill-out zone under a canvas. The owner's cook is available to prepare authentic Italian meals using the freshest fish from the Tyrrhenian Sea and organically-grown fruits and vegetables from local farms. During the summer, the vast roof-top terrace - lit by hundreds of candles at night - comes into its own. During the day, meals can be enjoyed under the shady poolside canvas or ask the chef to pack up a picnic to take to the beach. For anyone particularly interested in wine, an exclusive wine tasting in the renowned Sassicaia winery is highly recommended.
