Few places capture the imagination – and the heart – quite like Tuscany. Any visitor is likely to spend long winter months dreamily recalling the vibrant piazze of mediaeval villages, the thoughtful lingering over Renaissance sculpture, or the sweeping hills of leafy vineyard. In amongst such abundant landscape is Villa Ardore, a classic Tuscan farmhouse with roots in the 16th century, renovated and reborn in contemporary comfort. Up to 18 guests can be accommodated over 9 suites, with air-conditioning, heated floors in the main villa, upscale linens, robes, and high-quality furnishings throughout.
Outdoors is a lovely, heated pool, with easy access steps and trickling fountain feature, edged with stone terracing and furnished with sun-loungers and parasols. Far-reaching views are framed by sentinel cypress trees, taking in olive orchard and vineyard to the hill tops of Chianti. The medieval towers of San Gimignano can be seen on the horizon.
A fantastic indoor spa area features a large plunge pool with a view, 10-person steam room, a large sauna and a separate hydro-shower. Massage tables can be arranged poolside if required. A wine cellar features a selection of over 500+ wines including Brunello, Sangiovese and Super Tuscans.
