Day 1 - 2 Vadsø, Vardø and Ekkerøy
Fly to Vadsø, at Norway's northern tip, for a private transfer to Ekkerøy island, your remote home where Arctic waves lap the shore. Comfort and simplicity characterise your private apartment, designed by architects that specialise in bird hides. From here, spot oyster catchers, ruffs, red-breasted snipes and Steller's eider, and explore the tiny fishing community.
Daytrips to Vardø and Hornøya island will further delight birdwatchers, nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. Nearly 100,000 birds including sea eagles live around its nature reserve. Guillemots can be found in its waters, which you will have the electrifying chance to snorkel alongside. Discover street art and Vardø's Steilnes memorial by Louise Bourgeois, in memory of those tried and executed for witchcraft here - a compelling piece of history that ended in the 17th century.
Prepare your own dinners in this remote apartment - supplies of local produce will be provided.

Day 3 - 4 Komagvær National Park and Hamningberg
Take advantage of the long summer days by heading into Komagvær National Park, where you will camp overnight with an expert private guide and chef. Allow yourself to be at one with nature (in this case, reindeer, Arctic fox and wolverines included). Wake up in Komagvær National Park and hike your way back to your starting point. Continue driving along Varanger's scenic coastal route through a landscape strewn with wildlife and rugged cliffs to Hamningberg. This tiny abandoned fishing village is set on a verdant patch between rocky bays, where you will spend the night in a private cabin by the water's edge - with its own sauna.
Overnight: Private camp

Day 5 - 6 Kongsfjord and Crab Fishing
This morning, a local crab fisherman will collect you at your doorstep, host you on their boat to fish for the local red king, and take you further north around the coast to Kongsfjord. Your catch of the day will be cooked on arrival at your guesthouse, where you will spend the next two nights living a life of pared back Nordic purity. Take an engraving course with a local Italian artist, head out to sea on kayaks, while away bright mornings taking walks in the countryside and go bird spotting in well-placed hides. Enjoy relaxed evenings dining on fresh seafood and delicacies such as cod tongue, chowders and mølje (involving boiled cod, liver and roe).
