The classical 19th-century exterior of Hospes Palacio de Los Patos belies the impeccable 21st-century interiors found in its adjoining wing (a marvellous glass-panelled contemporary construct), which makes for a winning combination just outside Granada’s Old Town. The hotel’s design-led rooms are mostly minimal and flawlessly monochrome, with modernist daybeds and mirrored surfaces, while the palace also houses prepossessing suites with decorative ceilings, mosaic floors and views of the city.
