Blousy bougainvillea grapples to dominate the traditional white façade of Can Bonita, an 18th century Ibizan finca, filled with original features. Inside, traditional wooden beams and exposed stone walls combine with modern brushed concrete floors and bespoke hand-made furnishings. Comfort levels are high, with good quality beds, air-conditioned rooms, and modern bathrooms. Charm comes at the cost of a smaller room here and there, but this does not distract from the overall quality of a first-rate property.
Outdoors a D-shaped pool (10m x 4m) is lined with comfortable sun-loungers and shady parasols, from where views extend over the surrounding pine forest to the coast. Separate from the main house, an entirely private, air-conditioned cabana has a sixth bedroom and outdoor bathroom with shower and single-piece granite tub.
