The restaurant terraces in the main square of Pollenca old town buzz with activity during the warm summer months. Breathless children play hide-and-seek, while parents sit back to enjoy tapas and the Menu del Dia. Within walking distance of the main square is Villa Pollenca, a five-bedroom villa set in neat gardens of lawn and palms.
Five en-suite, air-conditioned bedrooms easily absorb two families, with plenty of space available on terraces or under shaded pergola to enjoy a good book, a snooze, or a game of backgammon.
Outdoors a large, covered terrace has a bar area as well as table tennis and barbeque, and a large built in sofa perfect for a morning coffee, or gathering for a pre-dinner apéritif. A shaded dining area, with seating for up to 20 people, has both pool and mountain views. A heated, saltwater pool (11m x 4m) has sunbeds for 12 guests, as well as a day bed, chill-out sofa and hammock between the palms in the shade.
A host of activities are available locally. Cycling is always popular on Mallorca – committed cyclists will be keen to tackle the Tramuntana mountain route – as is golf and tennis. The nearby Port of Pollenca has wind-surfing, sailing, paddle-boarding, water-skiing and deep sea fishing. The villa is equipped with Wi-Fi, and alarm and CCTV.
