Day 1 Explore Historic Hampshire
Meet your driver guide this morning. This itinerary can easily start at London's Heathrow airport; in Central London or at St Pancras Station for those guests arriving by train from mainland Europe. Travel southwest to the leafy county of Hampshire, famed for its rolling countryside and charming towns. Explore Winchester with your guide, who will explain the significance of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, as well as the many connections to literary luminaries such as Jane Austen to John Keats and Thomas Hardy. Austen fans will enjoy a visit to her historic home at Chawton or else travel onwards to the pre-historic monument at Avebury. Conclude your day in Bath where you will check in to the Royal Crescent Hotel, the chicest address in town.

Day 2 A full day exploring Bath
After breakfast at the Royal Crescent, your guide will join you for a fascinating exploration of the magnificent Bath on foot. Begin at the Roman Baths, the perfectly preserved temple built atop the city's hot springs. Meander through the nearby Bath Abbey, whose 12th-century stained glass makes a striking impression. We suggest having lunch at the historic Pump Rooms restaurant [payable locally] which has stood at the heart of Bath high society life since the 18th Century. In the afternoon, you might wish to further explore the Roman origins of the city. Alternatively, lovers of Jane Austen and Bridgerton will delight in a tour of the atmospheric Regency streets, so familiar from the big and small screen.

Day 3 Visit Stonehenge and Salisbury
Your driver guide will meet you this morning for the journey east into the Wiltshire countryside to visit Stonehenge, the ancient stone circle whose origins have confounded scientists and historians alike for centuries. Explore with your guide and be sure to pay a visit to the excellent visitor centre, packed with interactive displays. In the afternoon you will travel into the heart of Salisbury, the charming cathedral town where one of the last remaining copies of the Magna Carta can be found. After ample time to explore with your expert guide, you will be driven back to Bath for the evening.

Day 4 Return to London with a visit to the Cotswolds and Windsor
After a final breakfast at the Royal Crescent Hotel, meet your driver guide who will escort you through the honey-coloured stone villages of the Cotswolds. You may wish to linger longer here to explore and enjoy fabulous photo opportunities in front of thatched cottages and winding country lanes, or else continue onwards to Windsor. Visit the Castle, home of Her Late Majesty The Queen and marvel at the opulent State Rooms, and perhaps take a stroll along the Long Walk which offers exceptional views leading up to the castle.
