ACCOMMODATION
One&Only Le Saint Géran offers 142 ground and first-floor Rooms and Suites, overlooking the lagoon, the ocean, the beach or the tropical gardens. All have a large balcony or private terrace and marble-lined bathroom with rain shower and a separate bath; Suites also have a separate dining and living space. Décor is contemporary and elegant, with furnishings, textiles and colour schemes chosen to reflect the tropical surroundings, from the vivid turquoise of the Indian Ocean to the bleached white of the sand. Natural materials, such as timber, stone, leather and linen, are used throughout, complemented by bespoke furniture and locally made lithographs.
FOR FAMILIES
One&Only Le Saint Géran is extremely family friendly, with a selection of two- and three-bedroom suites as well as interconnecting rooms with convertible daybeds. There’s a superb KidsOnly club for children aged three to 10 years of age, while the One Tribe club, divided into Tribe Tweens and Tribe Teens, is for those aged up to 17 years of age. Tailored activities include everything from art classes and sporting adventures to movie nights, DJ parties and barbecues. The couture class, in which young fashionistas can design an item of clothing and then model it in a fashion show, is always a great hit. 12-16 year olds can also enjoy spa treatments specifically devised for young skins.
FOR WEDDINGS & HONEYMOONS
Exotic gardens filled with birdsong and chalk-white beaches shaded by thatched roof pavilions make One&Only Le Saint Géran the perfect destination for a wedding. The hotel has a dedicated planner to help with all the arrangements for the big day, while the spa has a special Bridal Suite furnished with all the essentials, including a mani/pedi station and a mini hair and make-up studio. Named after the ship that inspired French novelist Bernadin de Saint-Pierre to write the Mauritian love story, Paul et Virginie, One&Only Le Saint Géran has romance at its very core. Nights are for sunsets, moonlight strolls, beach dining and other gourmet experiences, while days can be as active or as chilled as you like.
