Day 1 Arrive Mauritius
Arrive at the international airport where you will be met by Red Savannah's representative. You will be transferred to the north of the island to 20 Degrees South. This stylish and discreet boutique is set in a small coconut grove on a tranquil blue lagoon at Pointe Malartic, just five minutes from the buzzing little village of Grand Baie. The luxurious, individually furnished rooms all face the sea and there is a friendly, intimate atmosphere.

Day 2 - 4 20 Degrees South
Relax on the small private beach with sun loungers and thatched sunshades or by the freshwater swimming pool. Activities on offer include windsurfing, hobie-cat sailing, snorkelling, sea kayaks, glass-bottom boat trips, Turkish Baths, jacuzzi, board games, plus a free scuba training session with tanks. Enjoy a massage or hang out by the bar for some musical entertainment. After a busy day, enjoy a sumptuous dinner cooked by the talented chef. You may like to visit the 'St Tropez' of Maurtius - the lively village of Grand Baie, with little boutiques, a craft market and an eclectic choice of restaurants and cafes where you may sample some Indian, Japanese, Creole or Chinese cuisine.

Day 5 - 7 Transfer to Lakaz Chamarel
Transfer to the island's south-west, to Lakaz Chamarel, a quirky boutique hotel located in the forests of the Black River Gorges at the foot of the Piton Canot mountain. Often overlooked in favour of the white beaches for which Mauritius is famous, the island's interior is one of its best kept secrets. Full of lush forests, waterfalls and birdlife, the interior perfectly compliments a beach retreat. With only twenty rooms, Lakaz Chamarel has a charming atmosphere and feels like home away from home. Its tropical gardens are some twenty acres and are simply stunning. All rooms have lovely views of the gardens, but the Piton Canot Suite has the most divine view of both the gardens and the ocean. Tacamaca has the best views of the gardens. Enjoy the resort's facilities which include a living room with iPod music system, a TV room, books and games at the disposal of the guests and internet access with WiFi in all the rooms and the main house. There are two swimming pools, a Cabane Spa, sauna, yoga, nature walks in the mountains and Nature Park around Chamarel, as well as bicycle rental. Your hosts can organize all activities, including water sports, golf, swimming with the dolphins, kite surfing, fishing, hunting, cultural activities, island visits and shopping.From Lakaz Chamarel, visit the nearby Chamarel rum distillery, along with the sand coloured stones and waterfalls. Take a hike from anywhere from one to three hours or go on a dolphin watching trip.
