Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, they have been in touch with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, local authorities and our partners around the world on a daily basis to ensure that their advice to you is as informed and up-to-date as possible and this will continue for as long as it takes.

Flexible Payment Scheme
It can be concerning to have to pay deposits so far in advance of travel, when there is the possibility of your plans being disrupted by COVID-19. In order to secure accommodation, flights and other travel services, we are always required to ask you for a deposit. That amount may vary across different products, but our firm commitment to our clients is to negotiate as low a sum as possible – typically in the region of 10% of the booking value – on each and every enquiry. Crucially, we will try to ensure that this deposit is wholly refundable right up until the balance payment is due in case of COVID-19 related cancellations. Where this is not possible (for instance many of the best value flights are non-refundable once booked), we will make clear to you at time of quotation what amount of your deposit is non-refundable and thus “at risk”.
Safeguarding Your Money & Your Holiday
At any point prior to your travel starting, if you are prevented from travelling for a COVID-19 related reason and you are not covered by your travel insurance, we will be able to offer you a range of options that will include transferring your booking to a different destination or date (or both), offering future travel credits or arranging a refund. Such circumstances might include the Foreign & Commonwealth Office advising against all but essential travel to your chosen destination, authorities in your chosen destination imposing a quarantine on foreign visitors, being required by the authorities to go into isolation due to potential exposure to COVID-19 causing you to miss your trip.
Travel Insurance
It is all the more important to obtain travel insurance that covers you for cancellation, curtailment and medical expenses, in case of a COVID-19 related incident. Products are now coming onto the market which provide this cover, but if you are struggling to find one, please do speak to your Red Savannah tour consultant who may well be able to point you in the right direction.
Financial Failure
If you book a package holiday with Red Savannah, you are fully-protected in case of the financial failure of any element of that holiday by The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 under which we operate and we provide full financial protection for all our package holidays through our ATOL license (ATOL 10454) for applicable flight-inclusive packages and through IPP Ltd for applicable flight-exclusive packages.
YOUR HEALTH & WELLBEING
For your peace of mind, all of our villa rentals and yacht charters have always been subject to detailed cleaning and preparation guidelines issued to and adhered to by all of our contracted partners for the protection of our clients and our staff. These guidelines have been updated in light of Covid-19 to reflect the highest standards of hygiene and require measures such as deep cleaning between rentals, provision of hand sanitiser, professional, high temperature linen cleaning and temperature checks for staff. The guidelines set the healthcare expectations of all staff involved in your rental/charter.
With your final documentation, we will always provide the most up-to-date information about the protocols and safety measures that you can expect to encounter during your trip, so that you can prepare accordingly. These will vary from country to country and from region to region, and will be regularly updated as local restrictions are lifted or tightened, but you can rely on our knowledgeable and dedicated team to provide the most useful and detailed feedback on the regulations and hygiene conventions in your chosen destination.
