Day 1 Arrive Buenos Aires
Arrive into Buenos Aires, the vibrant cosmopolitan capital
of Argentina. So-called the ‘Paris of
Latin America’, due to its French and Italian influences, Buenos Aires is an
exciting mix of splendid colonial architecture and fiery Latin pizazz. Enjoy some of the best Argentine beef in one
of many Parrillas (steakhouses), which sit on practically every corner and thanks
to the Italian immigration in the 19th century, so do Heladerías (ice cream
parlours) perfect for wandering the streets, dulce de leche in hand, day or
night.

Day 2 Buenos Aires
Spend the day exploring the city. Highly recommended is a visit to the heart of
the city, the Plaza de Mayo, famous for Eva Peron’s iconic balcony entrance and
where Argentines gather in celebration.
During the evening taking a step back in time by watching the beautifully choreographed art of a Tango show to a live orchestra. Reminding
us of a glamorous Tango hall from the 1930s, this show is our pick of the
bunch.

Day 3 Buenos Aires to El Calafate
Fly south to El Calafate, the gateway to Southern Patagonia
and a whole new world of ice mountains, endless horizons and glassy waters. Arrive at your hotel, a remote slice of
Relais & Chateaux heaven, perfectly positioned in the middle of nowhere and
your home for the next three nights.

Day 4 El Calafate
After breakfast you’ll head to Los Glaciares National Park
to see the Perito Moreno glacier, which stretches three miles wide and 200 feet
high above Lake Argentino. Undoubtedly the park’s most famous and imposing
resident, the sight of huge chunks of ice breaking free from the main body of
glacier, booming into the lake below and sending a shower of water hundreds of
feet into the air, is a rare pleasure indeed.

Day 5 El Calafate
Today is yours to unfurl as you please. Saddle up and go for a ride through the pampa
enjoying the spectacular Patagonian scenery in every direction, grab your
crampons and head to the glacier for a day’s ice trekking or take to the water
with a boat trip for an up-close visit to the stunning Perito Moreno ice
walls. Alternatively stay closer to home
and simply enjoy the sublime service, gratifying views and long solitary
rambles over the vast estate where no guide is needed.

Day 6 El Calafate to Mendoza
Fly north, via Buenos Aires to Mendoza. Known as ‘the land of sunshine and wine’,
it’s easy to see why being mostly made up by colourful mountains, harmonious
vineyards and seemingly endless, clear blue skies. Mendoza is Argentina’s premier wine region and
the main producer of the world-famous Malbec.

Day 7 Mendoza
Enjoy a day exploring the wine region. Choose your mode of
transport, whether it be on horseback, by bicycle or horse-drawn carriage and
explore the vineyards. Here lies a very
rare opportunity to enter the wine producing world yourself. At Casa de Uco, you can choose your vineyard,
any one from the many already planted vineyards in full production, and then invest. You’ll be a vineyard owner yourself, crafting
your own wine under the guidance of an experienced wine-making team.

Day 8 Mendoza to Iguazu Falls
Fly north east to Iguazu Falls and transfer to the iconic
Belmond Das Cataratas Hotel, perched on the edge of the Brazilian falls. World famous, and equal to Niagara and
Victoria Falls in terms of magnitude, the Iguazu Falls are made up by nearly 300
individual waterfalls (some 270” high), spanning a massive 3km in width. The Belmond sits in a very privileged spot
overlooking the vast mass of gushing water, offering a private scenic view away
from the crowds.

Day 9 Iguazu Falls, Argentine side
The Iguazu Falls straddles the border between Brazil and
Argentina, both sides offering a different view and perspective. This morning, you’ll cross the border to explore
the Argentine side of the falls. Walk amongst the lower and upper trails of the
river and over the 1km of wooden walkway (some of which suspended) to the
electrifying Devils Throat. Stare over
the edge if you dare, into this deep misty abyss.

Day 10 Depart from Iguazu
Depart from Iguazu Falls to connect with your flight home.
