Day 2 Explore Bogota
Today you will gain a deeper insight into the history and
culture of Colombia’s buzzy capital city with a local expert as you wander the
cobbled streets of Bogota’s historic centre La Candelaria, full of colonial
buildings, plazas and cathedrals. You will also take a cable car up to
Monserrate Sanctuary at a staggering 3,152 metres high to enjoy unrivalled
views over the city.

Day 3 Zipaquira Salt Cathedral
Today you have the chance to visit the impressive Roman
Catholic church constructed within the tunnels of an old salt mine, 200 metres
underground. Recently declared the first wonder of Colombia.

Day 4 Bogota to the Coffee Region
This morning catch a flight to Colombia’s coffee and cacao region
where you can put your cacao knowledge to the test in this unique cacao tasting
experience. Understand how the quality of cacao is affected by the cultivation
process, and learn how to prefer the perfect chocolate using award-winning
beans.

coffee farming. Today you will visit a local working farm and learn about the
intricate process from the harvest to the cup. Enjoy a unique tasting session

Day 6 Fly to Cartagena
Catch a flight to Cartagena – Colombia’s crowning jewel!

Day 7 Explore Cartagena
Wander the winding streets of the UNESCO World Heritage Site
of Cartagena accompanied by a local historian. The city was a notable trading port during the 16th century - the gateway for silver exports to Spain and for the import of African slaves. Today it is Colombia's fifth largest city, though its walled heart remains a joy to explore on foot. New Year is a vibrant affair here and it sees in a procession of festivals from January through to the end of March.
