The arrival of the Aqua Mare to Galapagos waters has been a highly anticipated one. With a 15-year pedigree in delivering luxurious and sustainable small-ship cruising in some of the world’s most spectacular wildlife havens, a return to Ecuador brings owner Francesco Galli Zugaro full circle, to where he first cut his teeth in expedition cruising. His vision for the Aqua Mare has been to offer the first true superyacht experience in the Galapagos, and this has certainly been achieved.
Constructed by the Italian superyacht group CRN, the Aqua Mare brings new levels of space and sophistication the Galapagos archipelago; she boasts 30% more indoor space than many yachts this size, as well as the largest Owner’s Suite in the Galapagos. Stabilisers have been fitted to ensure a smooth ride as the yacht’s gleaming, charcoal grey hull plies Galapagos waters on a rotation of two 7-night itineraries. Days spent exploring the islands on foot, by Zodiac, underwater with snorkelling or overwater on kayaks and paddle boards are complemented by leisurely recovery periods out on deck, enjoying the sun terrace, ample lounge areas and inviting Jacuzzi.
