Day 1 Arrival into Merida

Day 2 Uxmal and Family Scavenger Hunt /Visit a Chocolate Museum
Start your day off with a fascinating visit to the famed Maya ball courts and temples of Uxmal. Here you will enjoy a fun scavenger hunt, providing a physical and mental challenge to solve a variety of clues along the way. Continue on to a nearby chocolate museum where you will learn the history of 'cacao' and will also be able to sample the delicious traditional Mayan drink made from cacao beans and spices.

Day 3 Celestun Biosphere Reserve and Merida City
Home to 2,000 or more pink flamingos, Celestún is a great place for nature lovers. Taking a boat ride down this salt-water lagoon, you will see the great variety of flora and fauna that naturally thrive there and have a chance to swim in the fresh waters. Continue on to the historical centre of the city Mérida, as you explore the Zócalo, the cathedral and the Monument of the Homeland.

Day 4 Tixkokob, Izamal & Mayan Cenote
Visit the traditional Maya village of Tixkokob to see how local families still practice the age old tradition of hammock weaving. You'll stop en route to visit the charming 'Yellow City' Izamal, site of an impressive Franciscan monastery. Continue on to your charming lodge nestled in the garden on the UNESCO Heritage Site of Chichen Itza.

Day 5 Chichen Itza & Mayan Cenote
Wake up bright and early as this morning you will visit famed archaeological site of Chichen Itza to learn about its impressive plazas, imposing ball courts, and temples as well as Maya engineering, agricultural, and astronomical achievements. Depart the archaeological site just as the crowds are arriving and enjoy lunch and and a refreshing swim in a cenote (underground sink hole) to cool off. After your swim and lunch, continue to your stunning luxury hotel located on the idyllic Caribbean coast with its crystalline blue waters.

Day 6 Coba archaeological site
Explore the ancient Maya city of Cobá, a large city that held great power until the emergence of Chichen Itzá. Traversing the zone on bikes or tricycles you will get a feel for its size, while your guide explains the history of the city and what is known about it despite the looting that took place when the site was rediscovered. You will also have a chance to climb the steep Nohoch Mul Pyramid and look out over Cobá from above the trees.

Day 7 Catamaran to Isla Mujeres
Explore the open sea by private catamaran around the bay of Cancun and Isla Mujeres. You can swim or snorkel around the second largest coral reef in the world or simply enjoy the ride with a cold drink in hand.

Day 8 Tulum archaeological site and Xel-ha Water Park
Today you will visit the only Maya city located right next to the Caribbean Sea, Tulum! There will also be time for you to enjoy a swim and look up at Tulum’s iconic structure from the sea. Now that you have a feel for the water, your guide will drive you to Xel-Há (meaning ‘where the water is born’ in Maya). The site is a natural aquarium, once an important port and trading centre in pre-Hispanic times and now an ecotourism waterpark full of adventure. There are lots of water-based activities to fill your time, including caves to explore, snorkelling or floating in a tube along the Xel-Ha River, zip-lining and taking the floating bridge challenge.
