Day 1 Arrive, Cancun
Arrive into Cancún International Airport and drive the short 10km to the Nizuc Resort and Spa. Unwind with a walk along the beach, feel the sand between your toes and enjoy a richly deserved aperitif, before dinner in one of Nizuc’s six world-class restaurants.

Day 2 Whale Shark Expedition
Today is all about the mysterious whale sharks (seen here from June to September during their annual migration). After an hour’s boat trip out to the migration path, enjoy the extraordinary experience of snorkeling alongside these gentle creatures. Ranging from 10 to a vast 65 foot long, these docile and majestic animals are a pure joy to swim with and a truly memorable once-in-a-lifetime meeting.

Day 3 Ek Balam
Head north to Ek’ Balam archaeological site, one of Mexico’s largest and refreshingly tourist-free historical must-sees. In its era it spanned an impressive 12km and today maintains some of the best-preserved buildings and sculptures from Mayan era. Early afternoon, drive west to Chichen Itzá and check into The Lodge in time for a swim before dinner.

Day 4 Chichen Itza
An early start will beat the crowds and ensure you see Chichen Itzá, the most celebrated and well-restored Yucatán Maya site, at its best. Your private guide will provide a compelling insight into its inherent history and highlight the fascinating but eerie ballcourt and Sacred Mayan Cenotes (natural, enigmatic water holes). During the afternoon make the journey south to the Riviera Maya.

Day 5 Day at leisure in the Riviera Maya
Unscripted and all yours, today is entirely up to you. Explore the waterways, teeming with wildlife which criss-cross through the 240 acres of tropical forest, try kayaking or snorkelling in the warm turquoise waters, be pampered in the Willow Stream Spa or simply lie back and enjoy the sun in this idyllic setting.
